Free Trial

How does the free trial work?

The free trial provides you with a full version of TrackingDesk for 14 days. At the end of the free trial, your selected payment method will be charged according to the subscription you have selected.

Are there any traffic restrictions?

Yes. While the free trial provides you with all the platform features, the primary goal of the free trial is for you to evaluate the platform and see if it’s a good fit for your business.

Therefore, we set a 100’000 tracked events treshold.

When you reach this treshold, your account will automatically be moved to an active state and your subscription will start.

Can I can cancel my Free Trial?

Absolutely. After signing up for the service, you will receive an access to a the billing portal where you will be able to manage your subscription.

What is a tracked event?

A tracked event is the initial “hit” your campaign URL receives or a visit that is tracked by the TrackingDesk Tracking Script.

Why do we ask for a credit card to start the free trial?

We know it’s a huge ask when you don’t know a lot about a product.

The reason we do it is that it qualifies you as a person with the *ability* to pay.
Since we spend real time and resources onboarding customers during the trial period, it’s important to us that we are spending that time with customers who will ultimately be capable of paying for the service.

If you decide to check us out and eventually find out that the product is not right for you, you can cancel your trial at any time and you will not be charged.

Setup and Support

Are there any Setup Fees?

No. You can setup and use the platform during the free trial with no additional charges.

Do you provide Demo and/or Webinars?

Yes. You can freely join our weekly webinars to learn how to use the platform.

Do you provide support documentation?

Yes. You can freely access the TrackingDesk knowledge base where we provide a vast number of articles on how to use the platform, main use cases.

What level of support is provided during the Free Trial?

During the Free Trial, you have access to our support as if you were a regular customer. Yet, paying subscribers get priority.

Do you provide managed services?

Yes. In some cases, companies prefer to hand over the task of setting up and managing their tracking requirements.

Payment Information

What payment methods are accepted?

We currently accept only credit cards through Stripe. 

What are overage Fees?

If you go over the monthly treshold allowed by your subscription, we will apply the overage fee on the extra tracked events.

For instance, if you are on the psersonal plan which allows up to 100’000 tracked visits / month and you reach 120’000 tracked visits, we will bill you for the extra 20’000 visits  $0.1*20=$2

Upgrades and Downgrades

If you upgrade, we will prorate your previous plan and start your new subscription.

If you downgrade, your current subscription will remain active until the end of your billing cycle. At the end of the billing cycle, your subscription will be downgraded and you will be charged for the new subscription plan.

Invoices and Receipts

Through the billing portal, you can access and download all your invoices.

Billing Cycles

You will be charged every month for the upcoming month, based on the day your subscription started.

For instance, if your subscription started on the 10th of January, your billing cycle will be every 10th of the month.

Subscription Management

Through the billing portal, you can manage your subscription as you see fit. Cancel, upgrade are fully automated and do not require any involvement from our team.

Refund policy

There is no strict policy. Since we provide a 14 days free trial, it gives you enough time to try the platform and cancel your account if the platform is not right for you. 

Who should I to contact if I have any queries?

Contact the support team through the in-app messenger and your request will be escalated accordingly.

How Can I Cancel my subscription?

Simply login to the billing portal and cancel the subscription. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.

Can I pause my subscription?

Yes. You can pause your subscription for a $10 monthly fee. In such case, your campaign data will remain on our server and will be restored to your account when you decide to reactivate your subscription.

GDPR & Other Privacy Issues

Is trackingdesk.compliant with GDPR?

Yes. Very much like any other web analytics services, we are required to handle the data going through our servers with the outmost care and in compliance with privacy laws such as the GDPR.

Except for providing you with our service, the data going through our servers is not used in any way.

You are however responsible to inform your users, subscribers, visitors that you collect certain data and that the data that you collect is being processed by third parties for analytics purposes.

Is TrackingDesk the Processor of the campaign data?

Yes. In this regard, by using our service you give us a direct consent to process the campaign data that goes through our servers and you are the controller of the data, which means that you are responsible to get consent from your traffic (i.e. visitors, subscribers, leads etc..) that you process their data through third parties.


Is TrackingDesk the controller of the data?

No, except for the personal infomration you provide us with when you subscribe to our services. By subscribing to our service, you provide TrackingDesk with a direct consent to process your data.

As a subscriber of TrackingDesk, you have the right to your data and if you would like to erase your data, you should contact us.

As a controller of your personal data, we use third party services like Intercom, Hubspot and Google Analytics. Those third party services abid to the highest GDPR standards and allow us to comply with requests when necessary.
